Grenwich Meantime formed in 2001as a songwriting partnership between Eric Torcasio, Brandon McDonald & Phil Vandermost. Once bassist Scott Von Kaenel and drummer Nick Hoffman joined the fold, GMT's live performances and recordings propelled the five lads beyond the Orange County/LA music scene. After GMT's debut disc was hailed as one of the top 10 local releases of 2002 (still available here), nationwide radio play, music industry press & and a coveted showcase at the CMJ Music Festival in New York had the band on the verge of a label deal. Ultimately, GMT disbanded - ironically the day after receiving the award for "Best Rock Band" at the Orange County Music Awards.
